Prerequisite:GMK 4 ECOS
Content:An in-depth look at the EKS 4 & 5 LMI system currently used. Diagnostics and troubleshooting utilizing a simple multi-meter are discussed. Instruction on EASY CAN and LMI communication tools/programs. Calibration of the various sensor elements of the LMI system across the model range. Flash programming of the LMI, graphic displays, and generation 2 ECOS control modules. Upon successful completion the attendee should be able to fully re-program/re-flash all hardware elements utilized by the LMI and ECOS control systems. Mode of instruction is class room theory, bench top, and hands on crane if/as applicable.
Objectives:Upon course completion the student will:
  • Identify the PC skills required for calibrating current and non-current LMI control systems.
  • Have the skills needed to re-program/re-flash all hardware elements utilized by the LMI and ECOS control systems.
  • Have a basic understanding of the ECOS and LMI flashing software and its many applications.
  • Receive, upon successful completion of the final test, the ECOS and LMI flashing software and cabling.
